The title is probably not what you think
The title HOUSEWIFE came from being tired of people making assumptions about me based on the life I live.
I’m not technically a housewife. I’m not even married! But I love my relationship of 15 years, my home, cooking, and taking care of the people around me. None of that makes me less ambitious, independent, or in control of my life and career.
The title is also a nod to being an independent artist. Like a housewife, so much of the work happens behind the scenes and can be easy to overlook, even when it’s what keeps everything moving.
So I decided to lean into it. This album is all of me: soft, sexual, loyal, insecure, funny, petty, confident, loving, ambitious, and still completely myself. I’m having fun with the title and making it mine.
