Hey! If we haven’t met yet, my name is Raquel Rodriguez —
I’m an LA native making feel-good, groove-based R&B.
This is The 310 Compilation CD — it combines my two EPs ‘The 310’ and ‘The 310, Part 2’ (I’m actually celebrating 10 years of Part 1 this year!)
This project marks a pivotal time in my career when I started to find my sound as an R&B artist. It’s a nod to LA, the city that shaped me, my attitude, and my artistry. It’s also the perfect starter CD to get to know my music—including Mile High, one of my most popular songs.
Right now, you can grab a FREE AUTOGRAPHED CD + digital download — just cover a few bucks for shipping, and it’s yours. Click below to get yours! :)

I think when people hear the title HOUSEWIFE, they expect this super traditional or overly domestic album. That’s not what this is. This album is more like a look into my personality, relationships, habits, insecurities, humor, and the life I’ve built for myself over the years.
Why HOUSEWIFE? The title was inspired by the similarities I see between housewives and independent artists. Both are constantly underestimated, undervalued, and overlooked even though they’re usually the ones quietly holding everything together behind the scenes. On top of that, I still do a lot of “housewife” things even though I don’t really fit that role by traditional standards.
Musically, the album is very groove-based and funky. Some songs are emotional, some are funny and playful, some are more serious. It’s kind of all over the place in a way that feels very human to me.
‘HOUSEWIFE’ VIBES
Here’s what people think about Housewife…
“This full-length album from this LA-based Mexican-American singer is another stellar set of ‘90s-steeped R&B, soul, and disco-pop gems that balances sparkling mid-tempo cuts, vibrant uptempo grooves, and sultry, smoky (“Greens”) slow jams. Continuing to prove she’s a gem within the contemporary R&B landscape, Raquel says, “This album is a way for me to let myself and others know that it’s ok to say fuck the “rules” and do your own thing to find happiness.””
“An album and a cookbook! Rodriguez’s
LA roots inform a funky, soulful and sexy album, while the vocals are perfectly placed and delivered. Handy when your bloke has a studio in the garden, innit?”
